A large hulking presence of steel and grit, it's body covered in what appears to be a heavy mechanical plate armour, it has a german looking design. it has a somewhat humanoid shape but you would not be able to consider it human, it has a military look.

Backstory

Automatisierte zweibeinige Panzereinheit Null or A.Z.P.E.N in short was a rototype automaton that was fitted with some, if not the heaviest and sophisticated armour ever put on a automaton of his size, but due to system failures since certain of his systems never got fully completed, resulted in him being lost when he was frantically deployed to the frontline as the empire that produced him was on its last legs. In the battle he took part of, he took several devastating blows as he was focused on due to being a new weapon on the battlefield, the extensive damage caused even further destruction to his systems and the armour on his body got severely damaged, ending up being a shell of its previous effectiveness. The extreme damage sustained caused his systems to fully shutdown and he was left to rot on the battlefield for decades if not centuries until one day a lucky lightning bolt hit his frame which caused a forced reboot of his systems and he was brought back online, the old empire he fought for was gone including the forces that brought on its demise, with no further goals left besides his final orders of conducting durability tests on his systems and armour he leaves the area in search of ways to repair his destroyed systems and armour and to continue conducting his orders of doing durability tests, the previous data on the armours original stats recorded in the engagement considered lost as his memory storage also took damage and got essentially a reset due to the forced reboot caused by the lightning only data backups remained of the most crucial system info, directives and orders Aswell as a few incomplete ‘memories‘. After a while of scavenging and wandering around he managed to get enough material together to repair some of his most vital systems partially up to acceptable levels and start repairing his armoured carapace. One time whilst he was wandering around a town he sees a colourful building that allot of humanoids are entering, intrigued by the behaviour he also entered the colourful building and sat on one of the benches, here he saw several humanoids and possibly animals performing difficult feats to the delight of the humanoids spectating. One show stood out for him as he saw what appeared to be a wizard who had the bones in his legs turned to a jelly-like substance due to a curse, this reminded A.Z.P.E.N of the soldiers he had seen returning from the battlefield as his old workshop he was produced in was also being used as a makeshift hospital for severely injured soldiers and personnel so he made a decision his processing considered illogical, after the performances ended he went and looked for the unfortunate wizard and offered to produce a mobility device for him, this took 3 days of designing and building since the mobility device had to be sturdy for long-term use, A.Z.P.E.N even incorporated small amounts of his own armoured carapace into parts of the mobility device to assure it’s sturdiness and robustness, once the mobility device was finished and given the name Willy Rollgerät, the wizard Maurice Windborne offers to join A.Z.P.E.N together on his travels, A.Z.P.E.N accepts Maurice to join him on A.Z.P.E.N’s travels. They decided to discuss to each other what each of their goals were, Maurice mentioned he was looking for a book which is the book that was used to put the curse on him, he mentioned a certain paladin was the one doing the blessings but he never got the chance to interact with that paladin. A.Z.P.E.N mentions that he is trying to repair his armoured carapace and to then perform durability tests on it since that were his last orders, Maurice responds to A.Z.P.E.N’s last orders given by doing allot of questioning and wondering why A.Z.P.E.N is still following the orders of a long gone empire and commander, even attempting to convince A.Z.P.E.N to abandon the orders, however Maurice does not posses a high enough military rank to do so. After this discussion they came to a decision to keep traveling together and together look for the book Maurice needs to undo his curse and for A.Z.P.E.N to find materials to repair his systems and armoured carapace to perform durability tests. Upon one of their travels they catch news of a ice dragon terrorising nearby towns, A.Z.P.E.N mentions to Maurice that he needs materials from the dragons body for certain repairs to his armour, Maurice responds to A.Z.P.E.N that he agrees to go hunt down the dragon together since Maurice also remembers that A.Z.P.E.N used a bit of his own armour to build Maurice’s mobility device, so they decide to start looking for leads to locate the whereabouts of the ice dragon whilst still keeping an eye out for the book Maurice needs to undo his curse.
